Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has extended a hand of fellowship to other candidates who contested against him in the just-concluded governorship election, calling for unity and collective effort in advancing the state’s development.

In a post-election statement made available to newsmen, Soludo appreciated the people of Anambra for renewing their trust in his administration and reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance.

“This victory belongs to the people of Anambra. I extend a hand of fellowship to my fellow contestants and invite them to join hands with me in building our dear state. Elections are over; now it’s time for governance,” he said.

Soludo, who ran under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.

He further expressed gratitude to party supporters, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth groups, and civil society organizations for their contributions toward maintaining peace before, during, and after the polls.

The governor emphasized that his administration remains focused on its development agenda, including infrastructural expansion, youth empowerment, and sustainable economic growth across the 21 local government areas of Anambra State.

Soludo’s call for unity has been widely welcomed by political observers, who described it as a demonstration of maturity and statesmanship in Nigeria’s political landscape.
